D.O. Yecla

The  precise work with the indigenous variety Monastrell, the constant experimenting with other varieties and the different kind of soils where there vines are planted in DO Yecla are the key factors that provide the wide range of possibilities, complexity of aromas and flavours in there wines.

A continuous care of the vineyard and each of its processes, as well as the strict selection of grapes at harvest time and the neat elaboration (an accurate extraction, a specific temperature control, appropriate vinification systems for each variety and kind of grape, etc) allow the wide range of wines in there catalogue. Young reds, whites and rosés, different ageing periods according to each type and straight or harmoniously blended wines are a true pleasure to be discovered.

  • The young line: White, rosé & red.
  • Monastrell single varietal.
  • Coupage GSM. Garnacha, Syrah & Monastrell.

They have 60 hectares of vineyards located in the lanas Las Cabezuelas, Magán and Llano Quintanilla, at less than 1 km. from the winery.
The grown varieties are Monastrell, witch is 90% of the plantation, Syrah and Cabernet-Sauvignon. The vineyard age varies according to the variety Monastrell 20/30 years old, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah 4/7 years.
There are two soil types, limy stony ground and clay ground. In relation to the irrigation systems, we count on 20 hectares of dry land and the rest is drip irrigation.
The area’s climate is dry, there are cold winters and hot summers, which eases the organic farming according to the Rules of The Regulatory Council of Organic Agriculture in Murcia.

D.O. Bullas

(Aceniche Valley, high altitude vines)

100% of their wines are Tintos de Crianza.
For its elaboration they make a careful selection in the plots before the manual harvest. Transportation, at close range. Stay in a cold room at 0ºC before entering the winery, through a selection table. De-stemmed without squeezing. The whole grain enters stainless steel fermentation tanks. Total contact time with the skins between 20 and 40 days.

  • Young line: white, rosé & red.
  • Macabeo fermented in oak barrels.
  • Monastrell single-varietal (vintages).
  • Vintage blends. Monastrell, Tempranillo & Petit verdot.

Bodega Balcona have evolved over the years to adapt to the demands of their customers and the climate change.

They have expanded their range of wines from young and fresh red wines such as Mabal Monastrell, through the production of red wines from aging: Partal and 37 barrels and finally discovering the potential that the Macabeo grape of the Acneiche Valley has to produce white fermented wines in barrel, MaBal Macabeo de Balcona.

Each of them is the result of their care, climate, land, knowledge and evolution.

  • Young red Monastrell.
  • Macabeo fermented in oak barrels.
  • Monastrell single varietal.
  • Vintage blends: Monastrell, Shyraz, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon & merlot.

D.O. Requena

Pago de Tharsys stands out for introducing unique and innovative products to the market: Night Harvest of Albariño, the blanc de noir “Tharsys Único”: a sparkling wine made from bobal, a sweet wine made from a rare grape called Bronx produced by the ancient technique of over-ripening the grapes in the sun.

The winery produces its wines under the Appellations of “Vino de Pago”, D.O. Utiel-Requena and D.O. Cava. Among the varieties grown they are most famous for their commitment to “Bobal”, their indigenous varietal and the seal of their identity. Pago de Tharsys is also widely recognized as one of the very top producers of Cava. In fact, owner Vicente Garcia, is considered “the Godfather of Valencian Cava”.

  • Sparkling rosé

D.O. Alicante

Established as a cooperative in 1932, Bodegas Pinoso understands and works the vineyard faithfully respecting the viticultural traditions of their farmers.

The union and effort of the founders of Bodegas Pinoso made this winery recognized for the quality of its wines. Therefore, in successive years, there were many farmers who wanted to join the cooperative, and in 1969 and 1974 were made extensions to develop the grapes of all interested farmers. After several more extensions in the early 80’s, the winery came to have a capacity of 19,000,000 L approx. It became the most important winery in the province of Alicante with 650 members. At the end of the 90s, the winery began to change its quality policy to improve its bottled wines, starting at the same time with the first certified organic farming plots.

  • Vergel. Airén & Sauvignon Blanc.
